Yeah, when u push the lever in-wards it engage's ok but there is no air pressure, it does blow slightly but not enough, i think it'll need stripped down and checked out.

How do u get the compressor working? There is a lever type thing going into the back of the compressor at the fuel pump end, which seems to have 3 stages, fully in engage's it. fully out and the in between bit seem to be the same. on top of the compressor is another little lever type thing...

Other thing is ur Terminals from the battery and at the Starter, make sure they are clean from rust and corrosion, Emmery paper is good for cleaning them and boiling hot water is the best thing for removing the powdery corrosion stuff. If ur battery has been low for a long time and...
