Well i worked it today for the first time with a 5" slasher mower.no oil leeks no smoke worked great for around 5hrs .. then i noticed a knocking sound , jumped out of the cab and the engine has got the loadest knock ive ever heard .... stoped it and checked the egine oil ,and it was ok.. rang...
I have a 5" slasher that i just bought that i can offset , i mainly want the Flail mower to cut goors (shrubs) the slasher is clast as heavy duty with a 75hp gearbox and 5mm plate steel
I just bought the tractor 4 days ago they told me it had new rings sleeves and bearings repplaced.The units been well kept ive gone over it and replaced all oils filters and fixed the lights and aircon.This is my first tractor so im learning every day :)

Hi, i have a 6245 1987 model, engine has just been rebuilt and ive noticed oil leeking from the exhaust gasket (Head closest to cab) im thinking the rings arnt seated in yet as it hasnt realy done any work yet. Any ideas on why it may be leeking apart from rings not bedded in ? cheers:-/
