3320 want charge battery

How did you check the alternator? What voltage is across the battery terminals when the motor is running? It needs to be about 14v or more, I think. If it's only 12v or less, then the alternator or voltage regulator is the problem.
Sorry for asking the 'basics', but is the regulator attached to the alternator? If it is, they should have checked it all. If the regulator is separate, make sure to get it checked.
The other thing I thought about is to make sure all connections are tight and not corroded, both voltage and ground (battery, frame, starter, etc.).

charging circuit is fairly simple
the charge light should come on when key is turned on to take power from the ignition switch to the exciting coil on the alternator... usually the thin wire on the alternator.
when the alterator reaches battery volts the light goes out and the alternator sends charge up the thick wire to the battery... via the ampmeter if fitted.... often the connection to the battery is at the starter end of the really thick battery to starter lead. when charging the battery volts should be 14 to 14,5v. if theres an ampmeter fitted look for 30 amps going into the battery just after starting.
so you need to check for 12 volts on the little wire on the alternater with the key turned on and the ignition light on ,,, and then over 14 at the battery with the engine running.
if battery charges but goes flat overnight your looking for a wiring fault drawing current when everything is off....or a duff battery

If the loaded voltage drops below 9 volt during cranking, your battery is faulty.
I cant remember which exact voltage it should give, but last winter my battery gave 12.4 volt after a full charge, but 7.2 volt when cranking, which didnt work at all...

Yes, charge it first. You cant be sure if you're measuring on a drained battery.
If it drops way below 9 volt when cranking for 5 seconds, the battery is bad.
