Hi guys,
So I bought a 5211 about 10 months ago and although it was a little overpriced and scruffy it seemed to be a good runner and because it was only 5km away from my yard I decided to buy it. After getting it home and having a run about in it it became aparent that there was something not quite right with the clutch, it became spongey and changing gears or returning to neutral became much more difficult. After deciding it was a problem for another day i parked he in the shed and forgot about it untill i decided it was time to bring her into service.
Well by that point the cluthch pedal was sunken totally to the floor. I asked at the company where i bought her and the mechanic then told me it was because the tractor leaked clutch/ break fluid through a seal inside the clutch housing but it wasnt a problem because the driver had always just topped up the clutch/ break fluid every day and it wasnt a problem for him,
Obviously it is a problem for me which i intend to put right, i have been putting of this job for too long now and the old girl i needed for the log splitter. Basically I am very unfamiliar with zetor mechanics has anybody any idea what seal this may be and how difficult the splitting of the tractor and replacement of said seal could be? What should I look out for what should i be sure to do any tipps or tricks are sincearly welcome.
thanks in advance
Tom
