Ixero I Got the cover loose and off-even the four bolts at the back which looked impossible...I cut the two ears off of the steering box..It would not possibly come out without doing that, or remove the whole seat platform etc....No sign of broken weld inside the coverNow what do I look for?? Note: reason for going into gearbox was Pto spins when lever is all the way forward--all the way forward should be lift but no pto turning. Had to crank tractor with pto engaged--crank without pto engaged and you can't engage it later-it grinds... Thanks

Thanks Mike-will do..So hot, got to wait till it is back in the shade. What time is it where you are and where are you? Really appreciate the help .

Got the cover off-tight, tight but did come off--I see no broken weld..Only weld I see is inside where the lever shaft is welded to the finger and it looks good......Now what do I check for? Thanks

Hi Gary

I'm in the UK.
Where the round operating shaft comes through the top cover the downward facing lever is welded onto the end of the shaft. It's sometimes difficult to see a crack in the weld. Take the little retaining bolt out and pull the shaft out. Put it in a vice and try to break the lever off !

Mike

Weld is solid. What else do I look for? Clutch plate problems?? Thanks

Forterra, Thanks--can it be removed from the top through the opening I have with top cover removed? Looks like the answer is no. How do you get to it? What is involved? Thanks

that i cant help you With. ive never taken out a shift fork before. because ive never had gearbox problems on a zetor before exept a broken weld on the hi lo gearlever. Renze i think is the man to tell you this :)

Hi
you can lift out all of the shift forks eksept the pto one, it got one fork up front and one inn the rear compartment shifting the hydpump so to gett this out you vill have to take of the rear cover to.
If i rememeber corect the pumpfork is bolted to the slidingbar and has to be removed before you can take out the rest.
Bjarne

Thanks Bjarne-sounds like I have gone as far as I can-guess I'll just put the cover back on - run it some like it is and probably sell it.Not going to own something that is half working.
