Pretty new to 40+ hp tractors, and very new to zetor , so any help is appreciated!

My 5211's 3 pt hitch won't stay put. When I pull the lever up it comes up fine, and it even stays put if I hold the lever, but once I let go of the lever, down comes the implement and the lever. Is there a friction adjustment on the lever itself, or is this a leaking hydraulic pump?

Where is the dipstick to check the hydraulic fluid?

And, unrelated, but where is the plug for the block heater located? I know there is one since the tractor came with an extension cord for the block heater, but for the life of me, I can't find the stinking cord.

Lastly, is the hour meter in actual machine hours, or some other unit? Mine reads 1486,33 ?

If you have an implement on the 3pt linkage and it goes down by itself but the lever handle remained up, that would be a sign of oil leaking out of the lift cylinder which is under the lift cover in the back end, but if the lift lever handle is dropping and the implement goes down too you just have a worn lever control, you have a knob that tightens up to keep the handle in position that you could use.

The dipstick for the backend is between your legs near the gearstick on the floor, it usually has a black round rubber bung over it.

I never had the need to use a block here in Ireland, but according to the manual it goes into the engine on the left side of the block nearest the cab.

Your tractor has only 1486 hours on it, if it's working correctly. But some tractor only calculate up 1 hour every 90 minutes but will count up the time quicker if the engine is open up to 2200 revs or more.

I know of the stop that I can tighten down to keep the lever at a particular spot, at the time being, I'm using it for almost everything. Is there a separate knob that I can tighten down to increase friction on the lever so it stays put wherever I need it to without using that stop?

I'll look for the block heater again. I can't believe I can't find it...

I found that the rubber cover on the oil dipstick last night below the gear shift, but then the thing under it didn't look like a dipstick, I guess I'll investigate more tonight.

If it's 1486 hours, why is there a comma and then two more digits? Is that hundredths of hours? Why a comma instead of a dot? Weird. But, I believe you.

The dipstick under the cover will have usually a 19mm nut head, open that and the stick is welded to the nut.

On the control handle for the lift, the older models have a nut and spring that could be tighten to increase pressure and make it harder to move. but I'm not sure yours had it, you might need to look under the cab?

I don't know why some models had the two digits after a comma, the old Crystal nor the Forterra use them clocks, there's only the one digit like a car.

Mine is a 1992, no cab model.

I'll be home with some daylight tonight, so I'll check on this stuff.

Also, I could use some light bulbs. Where is a good source online to use for replacements? headlight, worklight, and one sidelight. Oh, and I could use a brakelight plastic lens cover too.

I never seen one like yours without a cab, too cold and wet in Ireland. The lift controls will still be coming up though the floor from the lift cover.

Light bulbs are just standard ones that you can get in any auto factors shop. But for light lens you could try here https://www.johnconaty.com/Zetor -Parts-s/1827.htm or
