Machinery:
Zetor 5211 with Westendorf loader and BushHog 236 shredder. Due to a broken back, my equipment has been in my tractor shed for too long; however new parts are arriving and physical update help has started.
On my 5211, the shaft that extends from the rear of the tractor, to which the shredder is attached, is noisey....like a rough bearing or gear. I haven't found a parts diagram...can anyone tell me if there is a bearing on the rear of the PTO shaft...or is this type of noise a clue to a common problem you can tell me about...or maybe it's a normal sound. Thanks in advance for any info. Don

The noise is coming from a bearing at the end of the shaft... Park the tractor in a steep downhill....unscrev the bolts around the pto shaft where it comes out of the gearbox.... and pull it out. you will need a circlip plier to remove the bearing.... its an easy quick fix :) hope this helps. good luck

Great....thanks for the quick response, there is no shortage of steep inclines around my place in the hill country. Is this a common bearing, or will it need to be ordered from a Zetor supplier. Not a big deal, just curious how long I will need to leave it parked on the side of the mountain :)
I appreciate your help , Happy Trails, Don

I think its a standard bearing...... but im not sure... order the original part just dont take it apart before you got the new bearing.... that way you wont have to park downhill for a long time :p good luck:)
