Hi, I just signed up since I'm now a fellow zetor owner, glad to find this forum!
Our 5340 was using a fair amount of coolant and it was ending up in the oil so I changed the head gaskets and all the other gaskets on the valve head. I'm not sure if the problem is fixed or not but after about 2 hours of use there's already gunk on the oil filler cap and under the valve covers. I guess my question is is there another common way for coolant to get into the oil?
greetings from Canada!!

Hi
A commond way for this is the O-rings at botom of the cylider liners, this is olso known from other makes whit wet liner and is often cosed by runing the engine without coolant.

I was afraid it might be something like that with the sleeves,I'm guessing that's a pretty big job. Thanks for the advice!

Hi,
Just letting anyone who's interested know that after replacing the o-rings on the cylinder liners the coolant is no longer finding its way into the oil :)
It was a fair amount of work to replace them but Zetors are thankfully quite easy to work on. I deglazed the cylinders and replaced the rings while I was in there and the tractor runs better than before (more power, less smoke)
Thanks again
Dave
