5718 d/pump/hyd.probs

Hi, ive just bought a 5718 and it starts fine but revs its nuts off for 5mins, seems longer, til the throttle has any effect, the cover is off the d/pump and no 3 collet is broken and the internal piston behind the spring is not visable, also ive had it running fairly sweet and tried to getthe link arms to work, have had the levers, I think, in every possible configuration, they appear dead, you can lift them up with no resistance felt at all.Any thoughts would be very grateful, thanks.:(
 
First, is there oil in the fuel pump ? they usually get stuck in the off position so they never want to start again unless you pry the fuel bar to the open position with a screwdriver.

Next you describe a hydraulic problem. What position is the small lever on the floor on your left hand ? it has to be in either lowest or one but lowest position (cant remember, keep confusing 3011 and 571:cool:
