Hello Zetorworld, my first day !
I have an old 5718, lovely tractor.
But, recently, when topping a grass field she loses power.
The grass cutter is a Teagle Topper 6 Pasture Topper.
The symptoms are:
The fuel lines are clear and have new course and fine filters fitted.
The pump glass is full, although there can be small air bubbles at the top of the glass.
The system is bleed.
She will run and cut grass from 'cold' for about 20 minutes or so in high (fast) and low (slow) gears.
Then she will stop and when left for a minute or two will slowly build up enough power to slowly start off again.
After a short while she will not even do this and will only move and cut grass in two gear settings..Low (slow) first and second gear, nothing else in low or high gears.
The PTO is not effected.
Engine temperature is about 90 deg C.
Could it be anything to do with the clutch ?
Thank you, sorry it is a long story !
Kind regards.

you say pto is not effected ... is engine running properly and just forward movement is effected?

if the transmission clutch is slipping it wont move in high gears but will perhaps creep arround in low gears... perhaps start sluggishly moving after clutch is released and slowly build up speed a bit.

Lift pump is stuck. Its behind the big slotted screw on the fuel pump. Take it out slowly so the spring doesnt throw parts in your face, and you can remember the assembly order.
