6045 3pl & slow hydraulics

I have just purchased a 1980 6045. I have a user manual that I have read a number of times to try and figure out how the Inner & outer circuit levers( 3 levers rh side of drivers seat) work when using a slasher on the 3pl but they are still a mystery to me. It has a front end loader which works but the hydraulics are very slow. The 3 point linkage drops down but it does not allow the slasher to follow the land contour when it drops away. Is there an adjustment that will let the slasher follow the contour ? The 3pl does not lift the slasher very high either and when it does lift it is slow.Is this an adjustment also ? I would appreciate any assistance from any 6045 owners

I found it very helpful and although it was from a 6245 manual and some colour variations in the wired can be expected, the circuit matches very well for the 0 series. Thanks again Dave P.

Jex, as far as the slasher not following the contour of the land, make sure the small lever closest to you is all the way to the back of the tractor in position 'P'. And dont push the inner circuit lever (one furthest from you) all the way forward, you only need to have it half way with a slasher. The 6045 has a feature in the valve that holds a little weight on the lower arms to assist with traction when the lever is all the way forward. This will be holding the slasher off the ground.
