6245 Power Steering Cylinder Leak

My power steering cylinder leaks at the location shown in the image. Based on the service manual image I have also included, I do not see any seals where this leak is occurring, just some small parts. What step should I take to fix the leak? Is there a kit available with all the small parts shown? Should I just replace the whole cylinder?

Hi,

The leak is coming from an o ring right at the front of the ram down inside the chrome piston. Just screw the chrome part off the rear block in your picture. Remember to mark exactly where it is screwed up to so the steering stays central.

We replaced the rubber o ring that was inside the shaft. It appears to be part 49 shown in this image. The leak has stopped however now the whole piston is not working. The power steering cylinder will not go in or out. There is pressure coming from the hoses.

I believe my friend said he saw the piston suck itself in when I first started the tractor.

It doesnt look like the valve/ball stud, which I believe controls the piston is working.

Would you know what is wrong?

I had to unscrew the head about 2cm on the power steering cylinder and now it is working. Best to mark where the cylinder is originally before you unscrew the head. Was my first time fixing a cylinder. To get the steering central again ive just unscrewed cylinder a bit and tested it until the steering feels right.
