After a winter stood our faithfull 6718 has a clutch problem and won't go into gear when the engine is running and the pto won't engage. The pto lever is very clunky even when the engine switched off.
It'll go into gear when the engine is switched off.
Had forgotten about the little oiler hole in the clutch inspection plate which was gunked up solid. Cleaned this off but wasn't sure how much oil this needed?
Turned the flywheel and one of the fingers is very loose. Looked at some photos elsewhere and think the spring is missing that goes under the finger?
Can a new one be fitted without splitting the tractor or does it need a new clutch assembly fitting.?
I'm guessing a broken spring lurking in the housing isn't a good thing, so will it have to be split to retrieve this ?
Thanks in advance !
