Hi All, I am new to the forum, and I am hoping that someone can advise me how to solve a problem with my 6911. It is very difficult to start. A local farmer helped me start it by gently tapping the side of the pump and this helped to get the fuel flowing. When the engine is running it hunts a lot and will stall unless the throttle is kept fairly open.
Does the fuel pump need a total overhaul?
Thanks for any advice,
Corkdad

Hi.
First you shuld try changing oil in both pump and govenor, often when a diesel engine starts to hunt its bekose the govenor is sticking.
