I have a 7045 from 1982. My problem is about the little handle which changes the PTO functions.
Normally, it can be positioned in four different positions: From front, 1: Pump only, 2: Pump and PTO, 3: Neutral, 4: PTO following the speed on road.
After I changed the PTO shaft which comes out from the rear of the tractor (becuse it suddenly was bent it of some reason) I can only position the handle in position 2, Pump and PTO, and position 3, neutral.
What can I have done wrong? Or is it random that this happend just when I did the repair?

Double check old pto stub is exactly the same as new one. On my 6745 the pto stub is made to prevent enguagment of the 1000rpm setting when the 6 spline stub is installed. This is done by a milled slot on the pto stub. With the slot in a different position for 6 and 12 spline stubs.
Not sure what system your one has.
Test by bolting the old stub back on :)
