How do you decide how many adjusting shims are needed when putting clutch shaft/hollow shaft thru gear box to splined shaft ?. I am a bit confused with the washer/spacer drawings on the manual . There are different washers/shims shown in the manual. How can I put some images up to show what I mean ?. Thks

Am i right in just putting one circlip & washer on the splined shaft before the 4 th / 5 th gear synchromesh as shown to left of pic. ?. Is there a special washer/ clip with a serrated edge that should go here ?

Do the adjusting ( 2.7mm & 0.8 mm )shims go on the clutch shaft and up against the 5th speed taper assy

I was wondering about the need for 2 & 3 when assembling clutch shaft splined shaft together. I do not think no 5 & 18 were on the shaft prior to rebuild

My brothers 6718 popped out of the 5th because of a broken circlip. we filled out the play with shims for a neat tight shift.

Thanks, thats what happened me also I think circlip A broke), there is some play on the splined shaft now, but I was wondering should I adjust the play by putting shims on the splined shaft in between circlip A & the gear in front of 4th speed taper assy or do the shims go on the clutch shaft in front of the 5th speed taper assy.
