do you have the PTO lever in the one but lowest position ? Most probably you have kicked the oil pump/PTO out of gear when climbing into the seat.
p.s. the hand clutch is NOT a permanent disengagement for the clutch, the manual says dont leave the clutch pulled for more than 5 minutes. shift the left hand lever on the floor to the lowest position to take the PTO out of gear whilst still engaging the oil pump drive.
