7341 Lacking power compared to 7745

We got a new 7341 super turbo recently for the farm. This has put the 7745turbo into semi- retirement. When pulling our tanker 1000 gallon it seems very dead. The 7745turbo has clocked up well ovr 5000 hrs(before the clock quit on us) and it never got it tight pulling this at all. Does anyone no the rated power for a 7745turbo? I have seen in books/magazines the 7341st is rated at 88hp? is this true. feels more like 70hp? has anyone put a 7341st or 7745t on a dynamo? WOt hp did they get? i want to add we live on the side of a mountain and this tanker needs to be pulled up 45degree slopes! how would i screw out the fuel pump to give her a bit morer grunt? I woud like to do this myself as it will cost me a fortune if i bring it back to my dealer becasue like most othr dealers they enjoy puttin the hand into your pocket!

Two things might be happening here:

1. The 7745 did more than you payed for
2. or the 7341 does less than you payd for.

If the 7341 does less than you payd for, i think it is reasonable to ask the dealer to correct the power to manufacturer's setting, because that's what you payd for.

It is also possible that the 7341 has never worked yet, and needs to "burn loose" to burn out all the sludge and carbon out of the cylinder head.
Over here, when we use the 5245 with a 5800 liter ( 1526 gallon ??) tank, it can hardly pull it in the spring, because of the carbon build up during the winter, when it does only a few light yard tasks. After 5 to 10 tankers, the engine is burned clean, and it pulls a lot easier.

About the newer fuel pumps, i have no idea how to set them. On the old pumps, like the 6718 there is a screw behind an oval cap on the regulator housing, but for the new pumps as used on the 5245, i havent figured it out yet.

Our 7745 Turbo when dyno tested was 80hp @ 540 on the PTO shaft, the 7341 that we also have has not been dyno tested but on PTO work appears to perform as well as or better than the 7745. But it does have to be changed down quicker than the 7745 on haulage jobs, but this is because the 7745 has a 30kph transmission & the 7341 40kph.

There is different versions for different countries.... 7745 can have 78 to 85 hp depence what country it is sold. You can had tractor that is meaned to some other country.

Second: The power is nominated power (80) and there is tolerances about +/- 2.5 % or + 5%. If you have two similar tractor with same nominated power (80) Other can really have 80 hp - 2.5% and another 80 hp +5%. That makes allmost 8 hp!!!!!69)

Renze is in right too! You must panish your zetor little bit. Our 7711 was wery weak when we bought it but after 2 week irrigation pump use it gave all what was promiced.....

And more fuel you can give for both Zetors.. you need only 10 and 22 mm wrench and screw driver....... But I dont tell you more. Its on your own risk...

They are both only 30k tractors. When mixing slurry or even pressure washin we have to turn the 7341 over far harder than the 7745. the 7341 has just the little bit of power but when you hop from one tractor to the other it is really noticeable. We run our tractors hard but always keep them happy so there shouldnt be too much carbon in the system. They are used all winter, slurrying, scraping, fetching big bales, drawing clamp silage in a trailer home from another farm. I just think if the 7745 had the shorter nose and quiter cab i wouldnt even have to think twice about which one to get in to! also the 7745 was bought out of england at 5 years old and 7341 has 1500hrs on her. You know what i am starting to think ???

... I think that the difference in noise levels, mislead you !! i had the same thing, after fixing my exhaist seal, it seemed to have lost power, but it's all because the noise misleads you.

80 hp at the pto would be 86-88 on the crank.. I think a 7341 should do 80 to 84 on the crank..
