I was using my 7711 when going down hill, it all of a sudden became apparent it was not producing forward motion from the engine. I stopped, put it in neutral, reached down, found out the range selector lever was not in low. I put it in low and went on, except something was not right, it was like it was not pulling properly.
I stopped, put tractor in reverse, and I backed up to release slack on a logging chain I was using to pull something, and then the tractor would grind all gears trying to get it into anything but reverse.
I then got off the tractor, and I found that the clutch slave fluid was low, or rather- non-existent. I checked for leaks, but could not find any.
I noticed that pressing the clutch lever seemed to only produce a reaction from the slave cylinder where the rod from the slave cylinder slid out maybe a quarter or half inch.
I filled it up with DOT 4, and I then removed the center section of the floor pan to access the shifter mechanism. I removed the shifter, and I slid the selectors all back into a straight row.
It was still wanting to grind gears trying to go into any gear, so I took the shifter off, engaged 1st gear in low range by sliding the selector, and I reinstalled the shifter and I started the tractor with it in gear.
What I am looking at here gentlemen ? I did UTFSE via Google.
Yesterday using the tractor, the clutch seemed fine.
