Hey Guys, currently finishing up a refurb on my 7745. It had a few leaks when i purchased it a few months back that bothered me to no end and one thing led to another . Anyway, before tearing it apart i ran i breifly to get a feel for it. There was definatly some grinding with the gears which turned out to be a few bad input shaf bearings and one completly missing ( don't ask me how, i checked, there not in there on the bottom or anything ) Something i discovered with the tranny open is the "transmission brake" part # 5711 2714, used to slow the rotating assembly when changing gears. Upon investigation, the lever that actuates this was not connected to anything. Anyone know where it connects ?? I'm assuming somewhere on the clutch ?? Pictures would be appreciated. Below are links to the brake and lever in question.
