Long time reader first time poster...Have a Zetor 8145 that keeps breaking drop box for 4wd.this has happened 4 times already. With no warning it will just break while travelling along the road.Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this happening.....

I have had this happen twice, it only appears to happen with a 40K box or if the tractor is run fast down a hill out of gear. We came to the conclusion that the prop shaft was slightly bent and out of balance. a new front section of the shaft and new U/J 's solved the problem.

Running 12.4r24 on the front and 18.4r34 on the back. There has been a different shaft fitted every time it has happened....

No
18,4-34 and 12,4 24 is correct.
I have just bought a ursus 1134 1996 model. She has 12,4 24 and 16,9 38. But i will change to 14.9-24 front and 18.4-38 rear to get better ground clerance. Maybe i ned to change the gear wheels in the drop box??

an 18.4/34 is not a common size on tractors that is a 3cx tyre size.

Check today and it definately has 18.4 34s and i also have an 8111 wit the same on it

The 4wd is never used on the tractor.its only on a diet feeder around the yard and travels about 2 miles over the road to an outside farm

Be a good idea to make sure the cable to the fwd spool valve hasn't seized up. The small knob only moves 10 mm and if the outer sheath has got rusted it may be that although the knob is going down the spool isn't moving.
Remember its only in fwd if the engine is running .
