I purchased an 8145. I plowed 50 acres with a JD 4 furrow semi-mount. The Zetor pulls like a mule through the hard clay. The lever with the rabbit and the turtle will not move, Any suggestions would be appreciated. I farm near Niagara Falls Ontario, Canada.

Glad that your 8045 is delivering the goods for you!

The rabbit/turtle is the torque splitter - it gives a 30% increase in torque (and thus reduction is speed) in the turtle poisition.

Have you tried spraying it with WD40? The linkage down to the gearbox is pretty straightfoward.

You may have to lift up the panel in the floor of the cab to clean all the crud off the top of the gearbox. Then you will be able to see the linkage coming out off the top of the gearbox and lubricate the pivots.Glad you like the tractor I think they are excellent too. They certainly seem to grip well.I've got a 10045 and an 8245.One day I want a 6 cylinder model!
