Hello all,

I have another issue with my 9540. It is overcharging the battery to over 20V. I noticed that it had blown the caps off the cells of the battery and checked the voltage. I replaced the voltage regulator earlier this year and thought that had fixed it but I seem to have been wrong about that. I'm beginning to think that the alternator is just putting out full amperage. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the alternator/regulator for this series tractor? I have the parts and operator manuals and neither is very helpful in this regard.

Thank you all in advance,
Asa

did you check that you had the correct voltage approx. 14.5 V after changing the regulator. Check the diodes in the generator that regulate the magnetization winding.
