Your engine hasnt done enough work, its just lazy.
our 5245 has the same pistons, rings, liners as your 7245 and they were notorious for not seating properly when only used for light work. First soak the piston rings on DOT 4 brake fluid (through the injector holes) for a week, to loosen the carbon, then crank the engine without injectors to throw out the excessive brake fluid, put injectors back make it run untill slightly warm (no load) then change the oil to get rid of the brake fluid that seeped along the piston rings into the sump. With fresh oil, hook it up to the biggest plough or cultivator it can carry, and hammer down on it.
Our 5245 used half a liter of oil a day when we first put it in front of our 6m3 manure tanker. Nowadays it pulls a 10m3 manure tanker with 5.5 meter injector as easy as it did the 6m3 back then, but the oil consumption is from upper dipstick mark to lower dipstick mark in about 300 hrs, which is the regular oil change interval.
