Thanks. I got it in on Saturday and this was exactly the way I figured out to get it in. I had drained all of the fluid in the brakes and clutch, and put DOT 4 in. I bled the brakes starting with the right and then bled the clutch. The brakes bled good, but after bleeding the clutch until clear fluid with no air bubbles came out, the clutch pedal would not return to the top without me pulling it up with my toe or hand.
I talked to the dealer closest to me this morning, in Tyler, Texas. He told me that I would now need to replace the clutch master cylinder as well to fix the problem. He has it in stock and I will pick it up today and install it. I hope it installs as easily as the slave cylinder! I am assuming that I will also have to bleed that as well. I need to get things going to bale hay. Thank you.
