Hi.

I just purchase my first Zetor , a 1972 5511. I have tons of question, but one at a time

I want to change the thermostat, its located in the bulge at the top tube i think. It seems to be hold in place by a C clip, but how do i remove this clip? I tried to move it but it seems to be stuck

Can anyone help me? :(

The rubber has grown into the aluminium housing. Pry a screwdriver between the rubber and loosen it all the way around: then you can pull it off.

I dident quite understand that. It seems to be a metal-ring holding it and its stuck. Please see pictures http://www.mobypicture.com/user/Kalkveien/view/11126370

Ah i see what you mean: you just have to scrape it clean (the white oxidized aluminium and then pry the clip loose.

You can also try heating it, the aluminium expands faster than the steel so it will loosen up.
