Hi!

New member here, and new to zetor tractors-just bought a Zetor 6245 1989model and I`m currently fixing it up and mounting a front end loader.
This is why I have the question above, where is the easiest point to connect permanent hydraulic pressure and return on this Zetor 6245?
Pictures would be really nice if you have them!

All info appreciated also tips and pointers, and thanks in advance!

in norway where 90 % of tractors has loaders the importer motokov came up with a modification of the pump plate where the pressure to the loader was taken from. the return is just plumped in with the external return line.

Hi and thanks for the answer.

You wouldn`t happen to have any more info on how they did this modificaton would you?
Or if there are other ways of doing this operation?

Are there perhaps som blinded points on the pump that one can connect the pressure line?
I see that there is a blinded point on the top of the hydraulic filter on the right side of the engine, can this be used or does one just bypass the filter when doing so?

The return should not be a problem i think, but pointers on how this installasion is done would be great and I would really appreciate it.

Hi,

Your easiest way is to use the quick release couplings on the back.
Use either No. 1 or 2 for supply and "0" for the return. Then just hold the spool lever in constant pumping with the knurled knob on the side of the lever housing.

this is a bad way to connect the loader . as you make a hold up in the system and cant operate a trailer or some implements without disconnecting the loader.

the blinded point on the filter is usless as there is no pressure as the filter is a return filter. just take the pump and plate out and take it to a dealer. they will drill a canal in the pump plate so you can take pressure from the pump plate itself directly from pump. im sorry i dont have any pictures of it.

I have been searching and reading some threads on this forum and I came across this thread about changing the hydraulic pump and at the end of the thread they mention a 16mm bolt with a 22mm head, facing forward on the pumpplate.
This is supposed to be direct pressure out from the pump.
I have not checked this yet, but if it is right then this must be the easyest point to connect the sentral main pressure.

Thread:

And maybe the retur to the top of the filter as mentioned here before?

this is the place you take out pressure from the pump plate. BUT as ive tried to explain at least two times the pump plate has to be MODIFIED to get this working well. i dont remember the details but i think its because the passage throug this hole originally is to narrow so the oil gets heated up if its in cotinious use. so the channel needs to be drilled bigger. i believe originally this plug is for testing pump pressure direct from the pump.

Ok, at first i did not realise that there was already a plug in the plate that could be modified.
I thought that one had to drill a new hole in the plate in proximity of the already outgoing main line, and then tap this out to for eksample a BSP-connection to connect the hydraulic hose to and so fourth.
But now i have some more info on the subject, so I'm going to do further research on the hydraulics.

Thanks so far.

ive allways just used the trailer tipping pipe for pressure and drilled and tapped the gearbox/ back axle filler plug for the return on several different makes and models.

old zetors are good cos with the two outlets you can use one for the loader and tother for hedgecutter with the lever locked the appropriate way for whichever one your using. our crystal has been used like this for about 30 years.
on the crystal the return goes in the plug top right of the back end, on the 6711 etc with floorless duncan cab it goes in the filler on top of the gearbox
