Hi all
I've got an zetor crystal 8011 for a number of years now and it has a good bit of blow by. It will work all day without a problem. Should I be worried about this. Also it leaks oil from the crank seal inside the engine, would this affect blow by? I was thinking of putting a Perkins 6354 in but I do not know much about them. Do they bolt straight onto the backend? Were they any good. Any advice would help . Cheers😊

6.354 was a conversion done by the UK importer to counter the Ford 7810, Deere 3150 and MF 699 in the 100hp class. Ursus even sold a Perkins equipped model as C-3110

The hood will move an inch or so forward, no work needed on it because the Perkins is only an inch longer than the Zetor 4 cylinder.

Thanks. Do you know if it Will it bolt straight to the back end? With out any hassle, and will the zetor clutch suit it

The Deere and Cummins engines we installed at work came optionally with either an SAE 1 or SAE 3 bellhousing... Which means that they are standardised. I just dont know what SAE size the Crystal gearbox is...

The SAME six pot in the 11641 and 11741 also had a 40mm torched adapter plate bolted to the back of the engine block. On Zetor engines a flange is cast to the engine itself.

Hi
Sounds like a lot of hasel to convert to a new engine, after all new liner sets and gaskets only add up to 250 eur and two "backyardmekaniks" overhauls the engine you got in two days.

If you want more power, a turbo'd 8011 engine will do higher hp more reliably than the Perkins, the Perkins is known to crack heads when turbo'd above 130hp because the cylinders are so close to each other, which gives heat dissipation problems. With turbo valves, valve seats and gaskets of the 10045, the 8011 engine will do 140hp without cracking heads... ;)
