Monday i and 50 other farmers from norway go to zertor factory. I think it will be intresting to look how they produce the tractors, and maybe see some news ..

That will be a very interesting trip for you. "Classic Tractor" magazine reported on a factory visit in Feb 2006. They are using a lot of innovative manufacturing techniques borrowed from other manufacturing areas e.g. electronics.

You might ask them to clarify their sales strategy in countries in Europe i.e. where does Zetor own the distribution and in which countries are distributors involved?

Also do they have any plans for people to order direct from Zetor PDC (parts) via the internet?

Enjoy and let us know how your visit goes.

And keep your eyes open for compact orchard/vineyard/park 3 cylinder Proxima eLite models, and Forterra Power 6 cylinder models.

Well, now im home from cz republic and zetor factory.
We had a very nice trip for three days in cz. It was factory wisit on zetor monday and trac-lift factory thuesday.
Yes there are news from zetor.
In hannover now in nowember they will show us prototypes of tne newest proxima and forterre ranges. Of course they could not tell us mutch about the news but i understood it was mostly facelifting on this series, but also some details inside the tractor.
(maybee cluthsfree forward/backward) i am not sure.
But on the road outside of factory we saw two zetor proxima with four stk round work lamps in front of the roof..But they run so fast that we could not see any more details.

AND YES THE MAXTERRA IS COMING!!!!!!

Today the production of engines is located tree-four kilometers from the factory, but in the end of this year they will move the production into the hall we was inside and then the 6 sylinder will be started to produce.
the first serie of 6 cylinders will be from 120- about 180 hp. It will bee mechanic fuel pump on these models they said.
so in end of year 2008 the first maxterra range will be serial produced. There will be a new rear end and gear box on those models, mostly will be mechanik on the basic models i understood, but also something will be electonic after what they said. Of qourse they can not give too mutch details yet.
But their idea is to build strong solid simple cheap tractors beqause there is a lot of people who not want hi-tech models.
The new six cylinder vill use todays four cylinder as basic.Same bore/stroke, so parts will be the same for the six cylinder as for the four cylinder.

Well i enjoyed the trip too cz and zetor facrory and i look forward to see the new models and to trawel back to zetor factory one day in the future

right now the wineyard tractors are not produced, but they are planning to restart the production. But i think the maxterra project has first priority.
I understood that they also have a vision for a tractor from 180 hp-200-220hp, but i think that will be some years from now.
