Zetor 10145
I needed a 4 wheel drive Tractor and bought a Zetor 10145 seven years ago. It's vintage (about 1982-4?) but goes well. I use it to maintain a 25.5 ha (60acre) property mulching, slashing, blade & bucket work on river flats and hill sections. I'm retired and run a few head of cattle on my hobby farm.

Thanks guys. I'm very happy with it. Just finished replacing the front seals on the right hand, main hydraulic piston. Yet to replace one of the ball joints on the steering tie rod. Also, a fluid weep in the top radiator tank that I plan to re-solder in the coming weeks. The power steering reservoir (a re-purposed truck reservoir so I'm told) also has developed a slight leak. These are minor jobs all I can do myself. Otherwise, all's good. Even starts quicker and always first time, than my 1993 diesel Toyota Hilux.

Hello and welcome Keith! :)

Thanks for the welcome Joachim. How do I add a few more photos of my Zetor 10145 to this post as I didn't have access to them earlier?

Hi Joachim, when I played around a bit with the post windows, one came up where I could add more photos. Just got to find one with the blade attached. on.

Seems to be working now. 😉👍🏻

Can you buy new Zetors in Australia? What is like for spare parts too?

I'm not sure that map is up to date, like the Irish one, because I seen someone complaining about the loss of Zetor in Australia on zetor club on FB.

If they doesnt exist - it give some Zetor parts dealers in Europe they send spare parts also to Australia.
And yes - Zetor is in trouble and the maps are not up to date in most countrys. But that is a thing Zetor by self has to clear. I cant do less to make this better.

My question was for the Aussie man who posted greetings.

I haven't looked before as new tractors are way out of my budget. I have never seen Zetors on display at a number of large Agricultural Equipment field days I've attended. Nor have I seen new Zetors in commercial tractor selling yards. I think new Zetor tractors might have been a more common sight 30 or 40 years ago. These days its more John Deere, Kubota, New Holland, Mahindra, Massey Ferguson to name a few. One internet search in Australia did show a new Zetor but it would have to be imported from California USA. The only other Zetors for sale I have found are older, secondhand models.
There is one official site in Australia for genuine Zetor spare parts located at Echuca, Victoria. I have bought parts from this supplier. There are also other suppliers of after-market parts for Zetor (eg. Queensland Tractor Spares) from whom I have also purchased spare parts. Then there is Ebay which supplies some Zetor spare parts, usually, after-market parts.
Kind regards,
Keith

When you were able to buy zetors in Australia, were they as expensive as other tractors or come at a more affordable price? That was got us into the brand here in Ireland, as they were thousands cheaper than other well known brands originally and stayed cheaper until the last 6/7 years maybe but since shot up.

I can't really answer your question as to whether Zetors were cheaper than other brands at the time (1980's). A farmer I know told me (after I had bought my Zetor ), that Zetors were veey similar to John Deere tractors). Also, that the John Deere tractors took over the market space from Zetors. However, I don't know if that is correct or whether John Deere had a lower price and/or were considered a better tractor for the price.

Alright so, I was wondering if they were affordable in the past. I see some place advertising zetors on facebook from America, and the prices are unbelievable expensive even for second hand 10 year old tractors. When you convert Dollars into the Euro which is our currency, it mad altogether. There was HSX tractor that is very low spec compared to the tractor for sale in Ireland and they looking for over 57000 euro. You be stuck with it for a long time in this country if you were holding out for that money.
