hello How to turn up injections pump - Zetor 6745

Hello Josh.

Do you mean turn up or tune up (for more horsepower eg) ? Iam not an english nativ speaker, sorry for asking that. :)

If you mean tune up - let it be. Its a bad idea for a Z 6701 engine. It has no oil cooler, no piston crown cooling, ...
Without a turbo, you will probably not be able to get enough air into the combustion chamber to increase the amount of fuel . It will smoke black and burn more diesel, but will have little or no more power.

If you still want to torture your engine... here is all the necessary information:

But if you need realy more power and that stable, its better to mount a turbo and make some more changes at the engine like Zetor it does with the original Turbo engines like Zetor 7711 or 7745 Turbo, Zetor 7320 or 7340 Turbo eg. Only a turbo its not a good idea, it needs more...

Would also be nice if you could upload one or more pictures from your Zetor and tell us something about it - here is the "Hello, that's me and my tractor" section. ;)

I I’m Josh Campbell I was wondering how u turn up injection pump on a 6745 Zetor
Put a zip tie around the cold start button. That was my power boost for the local tractor pull...

For a bit of tractor pull banter, you can create smoke like the big boys, but for real long term power, you better find a bigger tractor.

Lots of guys say 350hp from an old six pot with a turbo and a big fuel pump is easy and absolutely no problem.. yeah, for one minute each month it will be allright, but for real work you burn valves within a good day of work.

Engineers design engines to deliver a certain horsepower over, say 10.000 engine hours.
Off course you can go beyond that horsepower, sometimes far beyond. But you'll loose engine lifespan.. when you exceed operating parameters by running a turbo engine too hot, with 20% extra hp you can reduce the engine life by half.

So the real question is: what is a few ponies extra, worth to you in the long run ? You can add fuel untill the horsepower to drive the fuel pump at high injection pressure, cost more power than the fuel it can burn can deliver horsepower. But fuel consumption and smoke become astronomical and the risk of burning holes in pistons is real.

Most of these engines, over the years, have added some fuel injection quantity by governor wear. They are already pretty loose and turning up the fuel only adds smoke, wear and tear and adds negligible hp..

My 3011 runs pretty good too, it does smoke a little when i swapped the fuel pump for one of a 4712 and never adjusted the fuel setting back accordingly. But the PTO clutch is at risk of burning now...
My 5718 smokes because the engine is tired. Giving it extra fuel wont help a thing but reduce engine life and add fuel consumption
