The thing is when i drive something heavy and up the hills it is just getting a whiteblue smoke out vof the exhaust shoulnt it bee a little bit black to get Max horsepower.... It thought maybe i could adjust the Fuel pump a give it a little bit more Diesel. It is not the most easy started tractor either but that can also cause of other things i shall also chech the timimg of the pump and adjust the valveclearence and check the Injektors.. It has runned 2600 times so it is much tractor again... But is there any who have had the same problem and have some advices. it is Spesially how to give it a little bit more Diesel i wanna now, ihave also adjusted it too top rpm 2400 instead of 2200. it is also a other type pump at 5011 than the newer 5211.

Smelly, I have a 5011 too, 1984, so this post is one I will be watching, ;)

There should be a toothed bar that runs on gears on the helixes, the max. stroke of this toothed rod is limited by a stop screw. You can find it by removing the end cap of the fuel pump. I havent checked myself yet, though i need to go in there one of these days anyways. ;)

Wind it out, dont tighten it up. I have a 6245 ( well actually its labled a John Deere 2100 ) and opening this out really turned it into a different tractor all together.

Now I wish the transmission and brakes were this simple!!!

Hi France,

Not quite a 2100 JD but this shows the concept...

Hi Guys, gotta love that green Zetor . I grew up on a farm using 2 cylinder John Deeres. I wanted one when I was shopping for tractors this time but they are just too pricey.
Is it possible to increase fuel flow on a 4341? Is it desireable at 8700 feet elevation?

Hi Daryl in Wy,

It is possible to increase fuel flow but with your setup on your 4341 all you'll achieve is increased fuel consumption and lots of black smoke from all the unburnt hydrocarbons.

The limiting factor is getting enough air (oxygen) in to allow complete combustion and thus deliver more power.

Did you ever get anywhere with the turbo add on you were considering?

At your elevation, a turbo would be of huge benefit. At 8700 feet,
http://www.uigi.com/Atmos_pressure.html - atmospheric pressure is 10.5/14.7 = 71% of what it is at sea level.

So your 4341 is producing 0.71 x 43HP = 30HP.

OR you could upgrade to a bigger tractor? A Zetor Crystal 8011 produces 0.71 x 80HP = 57HP at 8700 feet elevation. A Zetor Crystal 16045 would give 114HP.

Food for thought?

could you show us some pictures of your 2100 J D I would like to see a green zetor
thanks

Will take some pics sometime soon if I remember. Its just clocked up another 40Ha of silage and stacked over 1000 round bales in the last 4 days.. Oh for airconditioning!.

TomZ,
Thanks for your insight. That is what I thought would be the case. The turbo conversion (or any other upgrade) is on hold for a while. My daughter is getting married just after Christmas, and we are dealing with that now. My wife and I went out into the woods with a preacher and our families, gave the preacher $50 and we are still married after 32 years. These big church weddings would buy a trade up to a bigger tractor for sure. My son will graduate form college this spring so I'll be getting a nice pay raise then. Perhaps I'll get the turbo on for the next snow season.

Tom, i removed that link because i am changing some things around here..

here's the link: http://www.zetorworld.com/licensees.html

By the way, a 16045 already is turbocharged so it will compensate for the thinner air.

I am not sure if i understanded what too doo, could one of you explain it a little bit more... is it innside of the could starter buttom or what. does any have a Exspoded picture of the Pump maybe so its easier too understand. And i ment more diesel at the low and midrange rpm at not only at the top... ???
Please help me....
