Hydraulics chattering

hi i am from the australian outback and i too have a problem with jerky movements with rear lifters on a 6945 i have replaced all o rings and replaced piston seals (2) and ring, had the cylinder honed out.. the problem persists although this is now not occurring as frequently. have been told hydralic lever positions may now be causing the problem. can anyone describe functions of the 3 differing levers, their differing positioning and the correct positioning for levers so as to allow for positional lifting to occur alone free from "mix and draft". a diagram would be great.

thanks.

The P means position control. In the other controls, the lift reacts on top link pressure, for ploughing not for normal work.

thanks 4 advice on lever positioning. i would still like to have a diagram of all lever positions if possible.
thanks

William - I don't know how this ended up here
BUT
my wife has a Skoda Octavia 1.4 16v petrol 2001 51K miles. I was of the same opinion as you until the end of last year when the windscreen got cracked and was replaced. After this, water stated leaking into the drivers footwell. The car has now had 4 windscreens!!! Finally, I spent a couple of hours with the windscreen people and they proved to me that it is a bulkhead leak and not the windscreen Now trying to get a warranty claim on Skoda.

p.s. The drivers electric window has now failed as well!

Tom not so happy with his Skoda

Well, in a previous post, i said that i needed a Volvo to do the rough jobs, through the field, the bumpy sand roads around, and with big trailers.

I have had a 600 Euro transmission from a wreckyard because mine had 4 holes in it, bearing balls shot through the sidewall of the transmission. That wreckyard tranny wasn't good either, and was making noises right after the one month warranty period ended... Then i had it overhauled, another 916.30 Euro...

I want to change for a Skoda felicia pickup, pickups have commercial license plates and are 15% of the road tax of my Volvo. I can buy one for 4700 Euro that did only 100.000 km, built in 1998. Compare that to the Volkswagen Caddy !! They are cheap but have the same, strong transmission.. I suppose i will miss that turbo....

Anyway the Volvo is unbeatable, climbing over 6 meter high hills in the forest, with friends... ;)
That 5 cm of extra ground clearance is doing the trick.

Hi tom,

Sorry to hear about your troubles, however stick with it as i have taxi driving friends who have almost 200000 mls on theirs and no problems so perhaps you had a friday afternoon car.

Renze,

That volvo of yours sounds a complete beast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
