Hi Folks
I bought a 14145 that probably hasn't done much work
When I let out the clutch the engine doesn't recover as quickly as it should and it will die if left idling. I wonder if I should get the injector pump seen to.
regards

so, it is lazy ??
I would let get get used to work, but not too fast.

It's good for Diesels to let them roar from time to time, to burn the coal and tar out of the engine. But if your tractor became really lazy, i would take it to work, but dont take 100% right away. If the engine never did any work and you take 100% as soon as it is at working temperature, you have a change to blow the engine.

It's just like human sports training: let it get in condition, doing a bit more at every time.

My 14245 doesnt like light works... It begin to give blue smoke and get lazy. But when loading it hard a while in high revs it will be like a new soon. So does do my 7745 and 6245 and mf 165mp and MF 60H digger and.....

Once I saw tractor engine that was in repair. The tractor was allways been driven in light use about 10 years. Horrible seen! It had to totally rebuilt the engine!!!

If it dies when idling it may be the stop inside the governor housing is worn or in need of adjusting. My 8245 engine did exactly the same but I took the pump to a Fuel injection speciallist that knew what he was doing and he made a new stop for the governors.I haven't started it up since so I don't know if it worked but he only charged me 80 for this and a callibration check so it should be OK.He also said that someone else had been inside the pump fiddling about at some point so that may be your trouble aswell!!

Hi Zetor owners
Yes Crystalman I think it is something like that with the governor.
I will get it checked. If it needs much repair it will be cheaper to replace the whole thing. The Zetor parts shop brings them to Australia very reasonably priced.
I think the previous life of the tractor wasn't easy work but it has only done 1800hours according to the tractor dealer and the hour meter.
Regards Timberman
