can somebody give me alittle more detail on how to adjust fuel pump on 7441 proxima to increase power please

Hello,

Markku is the expert in HP increase! I e-mailed him and received this response. I have a 3340, so it wasn't exactly the same but close enough so I could make the change - and it worked great!
Here's his response:

Yes, when you take off a cover of injection pump (rear of the pump) you can see 3 to 4 screw head. You must turn the uppest one (10mm hex bolt head on the pump frame) 1 rev to cw direction. (This is fuel flow adjustment)

Then you see 2* 22 mm screw heads. You must loose the upper one, and turn with srew driver 1.5 rev to cw direction and lock the 22 mm screw turning it tight (not too tight ) (This is timing adjustment)

Hmm. Actually that is how 6340 engine is adjusted. Principle is the same, but Renze did the same to his 5245 and he increased fuel feed by 2 turns. I think it is giving now some smoke allready. But it is so easy to do, you can try different settings. You must count the revs on paper, so you can turn factory settings back if something goes wrong.

You can allways ask more if needed.
