Hello all and Merry Christmas! I have a 7745 that the pto and hydraulics just stopped working all at once. I took the gearbox cover off and it appears all the forks are ok. I did notice that the gear in the first section of the box will move back and forth about 16-20mm and this seems abnormal to me but I am not sure. It does appear that I need to remove the seat(not sure) and look in the next section to see what is going on with the fork and such in there. I am assuming this is where the pto/hydraulic units are engaged? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Lift the 3pt off the diff housing. My guess is that the last fork engageing the oil pump and/or pto shaft ran loose.

Remove D-M-P lever knob
Remove rear lower cover with some M8 bolts
undo the bolts of the cab floor (M8 bolts)
Also those on the front lip of the part on which the seat rests
Push the upper part of cab floor up, and tie the weight adjustment knob of the seat, tight against the steering wheel with baler twine, this will give you enough room to work.
To lift the 3pt lift cover an engine hoist is preferred, but you might try putting a piece of wood over the mudguards and use a comealong to lift it up. Dont forget to remove the top link backet as it connects the lift cover with the diff housing
And you can watch inside by dropping the pump plate from underneath the diff housing. Easiest is to park it nose down in a steep ditch so you dont have to drain the rear end oil. If the shaft right up there is loose, you know the source of your problem.
