Hi,

Recently did brakes on 7745 from start to finish. New master and slave cylinders, and brake discs.
One side, came out excellent, and now has good effective brake.
The other side, just did not work so well, so we opened it up again, to find oil from rear axle leaking past the rubber oil seal, into and around the brake disc area. The rubber seal looked ok, but we replaced it with a new one. However, we still have the same problem, it seems.
Can anybody suggest what could be the source of the leak!
Could it be worn half shaft?
Could it be damage or some poissible porosity on the main housing?
I'm lost, so would really appreciate any tips on this type of issue.

did you replace the brake discs again after changing seals? because once youve got oil on them they are ruined.....

Hi

Are you sure it is transmission oil and not gear oil from the final drive as there is a seal down in the portal.
If you're sure it is transmission oil then did you change the serrated seal and the 'o' ring under the splined sleeve, as these also stop oil getting to the discs.
