Greetings All
I have a Zetor 3320 with a oil leak under the rear axle. The oil appears to be coming from a weep hole in the bottom of the center of the rear axle. Does anyone know why this would happen or what is happening (yes, I know its leaking)? Also what is the repair for this situation? Thanks Jim

diff output shaft seal is leaking. (if it is mineral oil coming out) If the fluid is thin, it is brake fluid. do you need to add a lot of brake fluid these days ?

Anyways, if you replace the seal, i would replace the master cylinders once youre in there. Brake shoes, take them out, sandpaper the holes for the hinge pins and lube with copper grease because they often get stuck. Or replace if they are worn thin.

Thanks Renze. Gear oil is leaking out. How difficult/hard is the diff output shaft seal to replace? Is this a take it to the tractor mechanic project?

Thanks
Jim

Jim, use the Google site search to search this forum on how to do a brake job... You dont need special tools, just a solid jack and either a forklift, or a car engine hoist to lift those portals from under the mudguards. If you dont have a cab you might take the mudguard off and lift with an overhead crane, but with a cab you need a means of lifting from under the mudguards.
