ok ive just purchased a 2nd hand Zetor 7245 problem i have is the front end loader wont engage it was working and then I released the PTO hand brake on right side off then re engaged it only to find the front end loader wouldnt work i pulled every lever sat there for 15 mins nothing worked if anybody has any ideas would love to hear them.

You need to have the PTO 540/1000rpm selected to 1000rpm and the small lever on the left between your legs, in the lowest position. And dont use the PTO clutch for more than a few minutes, then you should pull the small lever back to the lowest position and let the clutch go again. the oil pump is driven from the PTO shaft in the diff housing. the small lever on the left decides if the PTO output shaft is also driven.

Doing continuous heavy hydraulic work on 1000rpm PTO will damage the pump, unless you keep the engine under 1200rpm.

ok pretend im a complete idiot and explain it in very simple terms(when it comes to mechanics if it doesnt turn on im stumped) ive pulled the lever at at my feet on the left which has stopped the rear PTO working now but it hasnt engaged the FEL so which lever do i need to pull any help would be great

Is the 3pt lift working ?

How is the loader valve fed ? through the quick couplers at the rear of the tractor ?

OK, provided your tractor hasn't got the hydraulic pump mounted on the front of the crankshaft as later UK spec tractors had, the little lever on the floor to the left has 4 positions, althe way foreward is hyds only, next up is PTO and hyd, next is out of gear and right back is ground speed related, so for your loader that lever needs to be right foreward. Also on the floor is a lever in the centre under the seat with the shaft going down. this normally needs to be fully turned to the left , thats for normal 540 PTO speed and the hydraulic pump speed you would usually use for the loader. turnimg it to the right gives 1000 rpm PTO speed and a corresponding increase in hyd pump speed and thus flow, but it will increase pump wear if used all the time.
If you have front pump , its running all the time , so all reference to hyds in the above dont apply.
Hope this helps.
