like i need another project ! picked up a 5211 to hopefully bring back to use, its been stored a long time outside, abused and neglected it is, had a blown head gasket # 3 cylinder and pushed out freeze plug @ left rear of block, those things have been fixed, painting the console and other related items then clutch and brake issues, engine seems to run great, hour meter does work and shows 1022.08 hrs, steering box was full of water so bearing and seals for it, any advice on up grades would be good to here.

That looks like a good tractor, I have never seen a 5211 without a cab so I presume you have rainproof electrics.

i doubt ill be out in the rain with it so a cab wasn't needed, the exposed electrics will be the gauges, which will be marine water proof, i am gona use a marine ignition switch [ off on start ] for diesel as well, but when stored it will be under a pole shed.

from reading some of ur other post its my understanding the wiring is of simple design with earth grounding

my work is in the marine field of outboards/inboards of the gasoline side, so rewiring of fuse panel, lights and switches, and gauges will be from those sources.

You are lucky so, if you lived in Ireland like me, you most defiantly would be needing a cab for the rain. Nor can you drive it to town and leave your shopping on it while nip to the pub seeing you can't lock the doors.
