Hi, I have a 3320 and when you pull up the PTO clutch lever, and you try and put the PTO in gear it will not move freely is this suppose to do this or does it need to be adjusted, the manuals says it is to have 1/8 inch play. Could anybody tell me what I need to do,thanks
If the gears grind when you try to engage, the adjuster is on the L/H side of the tractor below the clutch slave cyl. It is a short rod ,threaded at each end (13mm spanner size). The lever will be hard to move as it has 2 springs attached to it inside so use a bar to feel the play.
If your PTO lever just doesn't want to move, try moving the tractor back or forwards a little to help the gears align better.
Thanks for the answer, the gears don't grind the shift lever just does not want to move I have to mess around with it for a while before I can get it into gear, I have been using it to dig post holes with. when I started out it worked just fine and now it takes a while to get it into gear, is it the shift lever on the floor that needs adjusting or the PTO lever that you pull up. Again thanks for your help
It could be that nothing needs adjusting. It's just a Zetor thing that they sometimes just don't drop into gear and you have to move the tractor to get it in.
