I am in Canada where there are very few of these Zetor tractors. I have found one, a 7745, with a quick detach loader. It has new front tires, and has been used as a chore tractor, lots of loader work. The owner parked it beacause it started making a noise when in reverse. I have scoured the internet, and really dont see any issue related to this sympton. I am making plans to go back and go over the unit completly before I make the deal. Is there any things I should do in terms of testing different functions of this tractor?

Hello and welcome. You say the tractor makes a 'noise' when in reverse. Could you give more detail? What does the noise sound like? Clunking, banging, screaming, singing off key etc...

If you do buy the tractor, keep this site handy. The guys here are great at helping with any problems you might encounter.

I have yet to hear the tractor run, just had time to look at it briefly, it had no battery in at the time. I am planning to go back next week to look at it then. I am also looking for tips as to weak points on the 7745, and the questions I should ask the owner, as to the history of the unit.

BullandBear - Did you buy the tractor? If not, I am curious where it was located. I just bought a 7745 out of MN (USA).

Ni I have not bought the tractor yet, but fully intend to do so. I feel that there is enough value in the unit that if I need to part it out, I shouldn't lose. The tractor is located in western Canada, Alberta
