Rear Brake Locking on 4340

My right rear brake has begun to lock up. Pumping the pedal usually dislodges it back to the free position. Switching from forward to reverse does not seem to free it up. The left brake is operating without any problems.

Two questions:
1) Where can I get (easy?)access to the right rear brake pad to see what the problem is?

2) Any ideas on what causes rear brake locking on a 4340?

Any help is appreciated.

Simple fix - I took the black plastic covers off on the rear of the unit that cover the internal brake linkage.

The occastional locking was cause by the external brake linakage being a little rusty and in need of some lubrication. The rear brake return spring was just not strong enough to overcome the binding and return the linkage back to the release position when the pedal was released.

This return spring is not the spring on the brake pedal in the cab, but a spring under the plastic cover behind the axel.

I will have to remember to include this linkage in my future lube points.
