Dear Zetorworlders,
My neighbour has given me the job of servicing his Zetor 8111 for
the winter, and as regards the engine oil filter, could someone explain to me what to watch out for in cleaning it out,i know that there is something about keeping a "dynamic balance" by keeping scratch marks aligned am I correct in saying this?Just to be sure he dosent come marching down to me some morning when his engine seizes! It is a great system in the fact that the filter is reusable unlike the spin-ons on the john deere we have!

Regards and thanks,

Martin,

You know about the balance marks - that's good!

Oil filter disassembly is straight forward. Remove the gunk - grit and metal - from the inside with a dull blade knife. Wash with diesel. Reassemble lining up balance marks.

THE MAN WHO CAN was referring to the cleaning of the power sterring filter methinks!

He is either talking about steering filter or the very old diesel filters.

I think the centifugal engine oil filter is ok, except for when the jets that spin it get blocked??? engine can sieze:sneaky: also seen the filters come apart, which results in no oil pressure.

Thanks for your help guys,"better be safe than sorry!"
