Smokey Zetor : Help please

Hi,

I Have a Zetor 7045.
Starting perfect.
Good power but Very smokey, Especially when given a rev after idling for
a few minutes. She is also smokey when working but not fully as bad.

I had the pistons out last year and everything was perfect in there.

Injectos were done and alligned last year also.

She is not burning oil excessively.

She is running at almost full temprature (70+ degrees)
She seems to go a bit high in temp (near 90) when pulling a trailer even when empty. This doesn't get any worse when the trailer is loaded. I fitted a new thermostat earlier in the year because she was running down around 55-60 degrees. The new thermostat didn't do anything for my smoke.

Could it be anything to like injector pump or timing problem?

Any other ideas much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Jimmy.

Hi Jimmy,

What colour is your smoke?

Black smoke - indicates a rich mixture which can be injection pump or injection timing. Simplest cause is to check that your air filter is clean.

Blue smoke - piston rings, damage to cylinder walls (scoring) or poor sealing of valve stems.

White smoke - injection pump and/or injection pump timing.
