stuck in gear

I am stuck in two gears on my 6245 - I seen the post about taking out the 4th bolt under the housing and using a screw driver to move the shift lever underneath it so I tried this but.

I took all the bolts out to see what the selectors looked like. l and I can see a small groove in the top of the selectors except for one of the selectors , this was the one I tried to move back but it won't budge

Any suggestions

Hi

I have a 6245 also, and this seems to happen to me once a year or so.

For me, the easiest way is to take the cover with the shift lever off.
Then you will see one of the slots not allifned with the others.
I use a piece of wood and a mallet to get the slot lined up with the others.

Hope this works for you.

Where are you?

Thanks Pop EYe

I 'll give it a go tonight thanks, by the way the tractor is stuck at an angle in ditch , I went down the ditch by accident and tried to reverse thats when I managed to get the gear stuck,

I 'll let you know how I go..

I tried it tonight and got the shift lever cover off ok, and can see all the selectors in there -none of them line up . I tried moving them

The first one ( if your looking down sitting in the driving seat ) on the left ( not the one that selects the hydraulics ) moves ok and I can align that up with the slot , the next two won;t budge . How hard do I hit them? I worried about damaging them. :(Should I push the clutch in - does that make a difference ?

Also the lever that select the low and fast speed I can't move that either and is not in high or low , would that make a difference?

I am in Australia by the way

Oh how I love stuck gears on Zetors.I am also in Australia, victoria, north east area.

Your selectors are tight as the gearbox is loaded up. Throwing the clutch may help , don't bang them too hards though.
The gear you were in last before the box jamed up should be left. The gear selected to lock the box should be easier to get out

OK I am halfway there ( i am an amatuer by the way if you have not guessed already) , Half the problem was becasue my 6245 was stuck in a ditch at a steep angle and once towed out released a lot of the pressure in the gear box.

The selectors would then move quiet easily and I got everything back together , My only problem is now I only have 1st and reverse , but I reckon I can fix that tomorrow night things just need lining up better !

Thanks for your help I would not have been able to do this without your advice.:)
