You dont need a
manual .
I changed the pump today, because of a leak it has run dry and my father didnt realise he was damaging the pump so it didnt last more than two years. (no pump lives long when ran dry)
I parked it with the rear up the steepest hill i could find. that was 45 degrees. That way, all the transmission oil would flow to the front, making the rear axle housing dry. Then i removed the bottom plate under the axle, cleaned everything in diesel
fuel .
You need to take apart all the things on the plate, to change the pump: little shaft with gearwheel, suction filter and the oil line with pressure relief valve.
There is no way you are going to put the plate, with everything installed on it, back under the tractor with one hand when sitting on your knees: You need to get on your back lying underneath, then lift the pump plate with two hands, hold it in place with one hand and take the bolt you kept ready, with the other hand.
It took me more time to clean the gasket areas, the bolts and the magnetic filter, than it took to change the actual pump.
My old pump didnt deliver pressure unless i revved it fully with the PTO at 1000 rpm. With the new pump i have 90% pressure at 500 engine rpm with the PTO at 540 rpm. It makes bale handling with the clamp, a lot smoother and easier.
