Would it be possible to switch 20 liter pump to a 32 liter pump on a 6245 and @ what cost ?

I bought a pump from Lukas, he is around on this forum and runs a spare part business in Czechia. These pumps really arent expensive, just the post and packaging might cost you a bit, if shipped to the US.

In the US you can try http://www.ridgewaytractorparts.com/ which is an independent Zetor parts seller. This would probably cheaper than to send parts overseas all the way by mail or UPS.

Hi Renze, I take it as you have done it your self. I am considering to do it on my 6045, for getting the 32 l/m pump instead of the 20 lit/min pump. How difficult is it really?
Do I need to get a manual to be able to do it?

Best regards

You dont need a manual .

I changed the pump today, because of a leak it has run dry and my father didnt realise he was damaging the pump so it didnt last more than two years. (no pump lives long when ran dry)
I parked it with the rear up the steepest hill i could find. that was 45 degrees. That way, all the transmission oil would flow to the front, making the rear axle housing dry. Then i removed the bottom plate under the axle, cleaned everything in diesel fuel .

You need to take apart all the things on the plate, to change the pump: little shaft with gearwheel, suction filter and the oil line with pressure relief valve.

There is no way you are going to put the plate, with everything installed on it, back under the tractor with one hand when sitting on your knees: You need to get on your back lying underneath, then lift the pump plate with two hands, hold it in place with one hand and take the bolt you kept ready, with the other hand.

It took me more time to clean the gasket areas, the bolts and the magnetic filter, than it took to change the actual pump.

My old pump didnt deliver pressure unless i revved it fully with the PTO at 1000 rpm. With the new pump i have 90% pressure at 500 engine rpm with the PTO at 540 rpm. It makes bale handling with the clamp, a lot smoother and easier.

Thanks alot for your prompt and very instructive reply.
As everything comes out with the plate, and you just push the plate back up again when finished, it means that the pipes connects automatically when you push the plate up again or?

Yes, when you push the plate back under, the gearwheel on the pump shaft will mesh up, together with the pressure pipe end. Just dont forget to check that O-ring on the pipe end !

I would change those 2 o-ring seals anyway. it cost 1 euro maybe, and sure is allways sure ;)

I changed new pump (again) to my 7745 last march. I allso did change all copper washers and o-rings. At the same time i changed new gearwheels wich are operating pump. The biggest job was taking off trailer pick up hitch. But you dont have that problem i think.

Thanks for all your advises.

Regarding preventing the hydraulic oil to flush out, I remember hearing that there is a valve closing when you pull the pump out, so the oil does not come into the pump house.
Is that correct or do I have to place the tractor steep or first take all the oil out?

Sorry for keep asking.

Rgds, Mikael

The valve is on top of the hydraulic filter, screwed into the pump mounting plate on the underside of your tractor. It will only stop oil flowing out if you take out this suction filter.

The oil will definately rush out if you take the pump mounting plate away...

I did this hyd pump replacement a few years ago on my 6245
