in need of some help identifying the 4 wires plugged into the tachometer, the yellow and green come from the sender at front of engine.

i have stripped the original wiring and gauges from the console, but are keeping the tach since its working, which is the 12v + and 12v - from this picture ?

is there a wiring diag or color code chart for the 5211 someone could share ?

Usually you will find that the black wire is an earth and the blue is power, but if I was doing that job I would put a circuit tester on them.

at that 4 wire connector there is no black wire, found out brown is negative and blue was power.

Well unless I am colour blind, in that picture I see green, grey, 2 blue and 2 black. Which is the correct combination.

more like wire color fading i guess, the blue and brown at the top is the + and -, the green and whatever on the bottom is from the sender @ the front of the engine, thats how i have it hooked up now and both the tach and hour meter are working.

I say they're black, there's brown wires on either side too. faded brown wires would turn more of a white colour.

maybe ur eyes are fading diy farmer, try adjusting ur screen color, no black on that connector.
