My 12011 is very snatchy when changing the torque from low to high. It is not as severe when going from high to low. This happens both with or without a load.

It helps to clutch it when going from high to low under load.

I've put 3 new disks and spacing rings and cuff seal in the torque pack, new torque band, new needle bearings, 3 new lock rings, new inlay on torque hub and new cuff seal on piston inside of housing.

What grade of transmission oil is being used ? as all older zetor transmissions use PP80 according to the manuals , a heavier grade than the universal farm oils, my advice would be to drain the transmission & refill with Hypoy 80/90 gear oil. Has the transmission oil pressure been checked?

From Renze:

Whats the oil pressure of the low pressure PTO and TA shifting system ? sometimes the separate servo pump gets shot.

From Dave P:

Tom, the tractor changes speed up when the clutch packs fill with oil( as I'm sure you know). It's unlikely that the clutch pack is causing the "snatch" although its possible. You could try some STP or similar additive that goes into Auto boxes as this will help to smooth it out.
My first suggestion would be to make sure the BAND is adjusted correctly, if it's too tight, ie the clearance between the band and the drum is wrong then the jerk may be caused by it not releasing soon enough, did you change the seals on the brake band cylinder?
You know how to check the oil pressure for this ? 175 psi, measured on one of the pipes that go into the PTO pack at the back of the tractor, doesn't matter which one, just move the PTO lever if there's no pressure on the one youv'e chosen.
Have you a workshop manual for the tractor, I can scan and send the revelant pages if you want.
Where did you get the new inlay for the centre piston rings?, we've tried getting the centre machined out and a steel insert pressed in, but it was only a very temporary fix as the material wasnt compatable with the rings and they both wore out in a couple of hundred hours!!
Regards, Dave

Martin McPhillips of Clarkes, Cavan +353-(0)498544353 can supply the inlay for the torque hub. It cost E60 Euros+VAT (now @ 21.5% for us poor buggers!)
