Hi tele

I have the same tractor.

The Pto lever is the one on the floor next to the 4wd handle.

The lever has four positions, these are (from front to back)
1. Hydraulic pump only
2. PTO and Hydraulic pump
3. Neutral
4. PTO via gearbox.

The leftmost lever to the left of the drivers seat is the PTO clutch.

In order to easily engage the PTO, sometimes I find it neccesary to move the PTO lever back immediately after pulling the PTO clutch so that I can 'feel' the gears into mesh as they stop rotating.

The lever to the far right is the lift control, remember that the hydraulic pump must be engaged (either of the front two positions of the PTO lever) for the arms to be able to go up.

I am new to this tractor too, and there are many more experienced people on this list who will be able to correct me if I've got anything wrong, but anyway that should help get you started!

Hope this helps

Artic 003:

that's right but dont forget that the 540/1000 rpm selector should also be engaged in one of the two positons.

Renze... er... what 540/1000 rpm selector ???

I don't think I have one? Do I? Where is it? There's nothing I can find about that in the manual (which is in Finnish which isn't my first language but I can understand it very well)

You've got me interested! Perhaps my tractor has a feature I haven't found yet! Anyway it seems to be running at 540 now. At any rate the snow blower works properly at "540" on the rev counter...

It is the lever right in front of the drivers seat.

It was optional, so your tractor might not have it. However 60% of the bigger ones had this option.
If you have the optional crawl gear, torque multiplier, or shuttle reverser, it cannot be fitted.

Hey artic, you seem to have an English name, and you say Finnish is not your mother tongue, are you an emigrant ?
If so, why Finland ? do they have a job for me there ???

Hey Renze,

How about having your 21st birthday party with Artic?

-40C: that'll test your battery and starter!!!

Tom

p.s. Here it is +12C and wet.

:D Party time!

Do you know what though? We're having a warm spell.

It's +1 outside at the moment. This means that the nice fluffy snow that goes through the snow blower properly has mutated overnight into "EU standard grade snow-ball snow" which is about 300x heavier :(

Not only that but about five cubic yards of the stuff has just slid off the stable roof and is now blocking the doors. Looks like I need to shift it somehow...

By the way.....

Zetor doesnt usually have a 1000 rev PTO in Finland.... The first model with 1000 PTO was 7745 Jubile in 1990 --->.

Later models that was an optional equipment. It was from 4340 ---> if I remember69)

By the way its snowing in Lahti and its getting more cold. About -10 to-15 would be better weather. Maybe tomorrow evening I can go to ski.... or after ski..... ??? Other sounds much better or what do you think?
